I recently bought a URC 8910 and I uploaded the extender. Since there's no page down button for the menu, I want a long press of the down arrow to create a page down. I've uploaded the hex code from the code calculator, but with no luck. When I press the down arrow, a single is sent for what looks like a micro second and goes off. Holding the button doesn't seem to have any affect either.

The keymove needs to look something like this to work

    CBL;DownArrow;n/a;TV;1106; 21;XX;YY
Where 21 = 2 intervals of time and 1 code sent for short keypress
Where XX = shifted hex value of normal down arrow button
Where YY = hex value for another button that has the page down EFC assigned to it

Ofcourse, the L/DKP device upgrade TV/1106 and protocol must be loaded in IR

Hope this helps

It doesn't seem to work, here's what i'm specifying in code calculator

Extender: 8910ex1
Protocol: LKP

Duration: 6
Buttons for short press: down
Buttons for long press: L1

i learned the page down to L1

the 1106 is in the extender, what's wrong. I don't understand what xs and shifted buttons are.

If you're using the extender, there are NO learned signals (because the extender doesn't support them). So you would have had to create a key move from that learned signal before installing the extender.

I didn't know that, thanks. I've even tried testing it with already existing keys. For example, on single down press, call numeric 1, on long down press, call numeric 2. I can't get the LKP to call any buttons, the led lights up but nothing happens.

The jp1 diagnostics file area would be fine. Just let us know it is there and what it is called.

All you need to do is change the device type (5th column) from CBL to MISC and it should work

The button you assigned the keymove to for the LKP takes the buttons you assigned in the keymove and passes the hex codes (buttons) to the 1F9 protocol which is device MISC 1106. The protocol checks for the timing (short or long) and then passes the buttons for either short or long as a macro to the remote to execute under CBL or for that matter whatever the current device is.

Ah, I get it, Device type MISC and code 1006 in the key move = Device MISC:1106 in the Devices section. Man do I feel stupid.

Thanks for all your help.
