I have Slingbox Classic (IR Blaster - 4) and will have PRO-HD in few days.

I'm looking for remote codes for ADB-5720SX satellite receiver. There is a remote code for 5810, a previous version of 5720, but it's not working with 5720.

Remote:

Thanks in advance.

I think you will have to hope the box is in the supported list on the Pro-HD, as ADB are still using the 'Dreambox' protocol and I have a 100% failure rate trying to produce Custom Remotes for that protocol.

That's too bad. And there's NO WAY I can get Slingbox remote to work?

I've found out, that Satellite receiver > ADB > Address 3 (or ADB > Other > Code 3) remote partially work with ADB 5720. All buttons on this virtual remote somehow works (light on DVR blinks when any button is pressed). But only few make actual actions on DVR. Maybe there's a way to fix available remote?

Here's a list how DVR reads Slingbox remote buttons.

Slingbox button > Actual ADB button

2 > Turn ON and Turn OFF

Cursor Left > Yellow
Cursor Up > Green

Cursor Right > 1
Cursor Down > 2

Exit > 4
Red > 5
Green > 6
Yellow > 7
Blue > 8

Channel Up > Back
Channel Down > Setup

Play > List

Menu > Cursor Up
8 > Cursor Down
0 > Cursor Left

I can't find another buttons because I don't have antenna connected to it, and I'm stuck on activation screen. On Saturday I will be able to check other buttons.

Impossible is nothing!

With IR Widget and few hours of my time I was able to built working remote for ADB-5720SX (ITI-5720SX): http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=7793

I used RemoteMaster 1.98beta6a and XMP plugin from @3FG - http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=10773&postdays=0&postorder=asc&&start=15

Unfortunately, I can't enter all remote codes to *.bin file, because of it's size limit. In my version of bin I added following buttons: channel up, channel down, power, up arrow, down arrow, left arrow, right arrow, select, exit, play, pause, rewind, fast fwd, stop, record, red, green, yellow, blue, list, menu, program guide, info.

So... Is there any way to "compress" remote upgrade?

I wish you'd dropped me a line earlier about this as I know what's wrong with the XMP protocol (aka "Dreambox") in the Slingbox.

I have some XMP files loaded here:
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=7778

When you need to create a Slingbox upgrade that uses the XMP protocol, try basing it on one of these instead.

I'm guessing that you'll have questions when you try to do this, so contact me then and I'll try to walk you through it. These upgrades are small enough that you can program as many buttons as you need.

Thanks Rob, but to be honest I am now finding myself having to produce over 10 remotes a week, as Slingmedia seem to have given up completely. So I am busy enough working with 'normal' protocols and don't really have the time to spend on any XMP ones.

Wow, you should be getting paid by Sling Media! Let me know next time that you have an XMP remote to program and I'll help.

@Robman, thanks for this RM files.

I have built test remote, but in Fixed Data field I have "17 0F 44 3E", so device recognized by IR Widget is 62.16. For ADB I need Fixed Data = "1B 30 23 2A" = 42.19, because with 62.16 or other device number my decoder is not responding.

Could you post the output from IRScope for a few of the buttons please, so I can confirm what the fixed data should be, because "1B 30 23 2A" doesn't confirm to the standards that I know about the XMP protocol.

OEM Parm1 = 0
OEM Parm2 = 35

Those learns show that your fixed data should be "19 3F 44 2A".

Do you want a file for your PL or RV box?
