pioneer dvr lx-60d

The hard drive is inoperative on my machine (dvr lx60d) ,assume I need new hard drive but need to get hold of the pioneer service remote ggf1381 , but don,t know from where in the UK , I have already found out where to get the disc (pioneerfaq) so if anyone can help me PLEASE , I might be able to replace my hard drive .

This model is basically the same as the Sony x70 series machine. The Sony did not require the service CD, there is a thread at avforums which goes into details on how to upgrade the HDD.
There are links in that thread on how to use one 4 all and other means to create a service remote
