Hi Andy

I normally try and provide people with Custom Remotes by loading their device onto my Harmony Universal Remote from the Logitech database and using that to mimic the original remote and learn the codes. Unfortunately there don't appear to be any Goldbox PVRs in the database, only satellite receivers. So you may have to do the code learning yourself.

Sorry

OK, further to this, 'vicky2003' has suggested that the Goldbox is one of the built in codes for the Slingbox. So you might want to run the setup routine and try Cable > Other > Custom Code and use C0853 as the alternate code. If that doesn't work try Satellite > Other > Custom Code and use S0853 as the code. I would be interested in the result.

Unfortunately the the code didn't work, tried for both sat and cable.
I'm in the process of trying all the remotes in there, and from the looks of it it's going to take me a while, there at least a thousand or so codes between all the models in there.
I'll report back, hopefully with good news.

Thus far I have tried all remote codes available for Sat and Cable on Slingplayer, I started trying out the ones on PVR.

Got my ir widget, now I need to wait for the remote.

Does anybody know, what is the best application to convert ict files to bin that can be used on slingplayer?

Thanks

Andy

Remote is here....

Remote just arrived, and completed first round of testing unsuccesufully.
On the setup page I used both slingbox chips RV and PL utilizing C2020 as the file name.
The frequency is at 37956, protocol NEC1, Device 8.215, Key 10, Hex AF. This is the power on read from IR widget. Most the information here was manually placed on remotemaster except for the Device which has a decimal point and remotemaster only takes whole number so I left it blank.
So I'm wondering if this is why it didn't work.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

thanks,

Andy

Assuming you have chosen NEC1 protocol, put 8 in the device field, 215 in the subdevice field. Leave param blank.
On the Functions tab, enter 10 in the OBC column. RM will fill in AF in the hex column for you.

This is covered in Tommy Tyler's article on the IR Widget at https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=5726

Have you not read it ?
