IR 8.01 is a major new release of the IR.exe program, available here. It includes new versions of DecodeIR.dll (v2.38) and jp12serial.dll (v0.14) and a host of new features and enhancements that include:
* selection of multiple rows in grids and list boxes by the usual means, together with the ability to edit, clone, move and delete a multiple selection (note that to move a selection by dragging, the drag must be started in the left-most, row-number, column);
* sorting of entries in the grids by clicking on column headers - column headers that are active in this way darken in color when the mouse is hovered over them;
* a similar sorting of the list boxes on the device and protocols tabs, but as these do not have headers, there are entries for sorting on the right-click menus of these boxes;
* Undo and Redo buttons on the toolbar to undo and redo sorts and moves, with up to eight levels of undo/redo maintained independently for each grid and list box;
* a new Options submenu under the Tools menu, giving the ability to hide the Toolbar or the “middle buttons” of the General page and to augment the information on the Title Bar to display the full version number of IR.exe and the signature, interface type and processor of the remote;
* a new feature called Highlighting that needs to be turned on through the Tools/Options menu before it can be used - this enables you to assign a color to any grid or list box entry, causing the corresponding bytes on the Raw Data tab to be highlighted in that color (colors may be set by double-clicking in the color column that appears when Highlighting is active, or by using the Set Highlight Color button on the toolbar that also appears);
* a new entry on the Help menu, “Interpreting Decoded IR Signals”, which opens the file DecodeIR.html provided this is in the same folder as IR.exe. This file is now included in the IR distribution; previously it was only available in the separate DecodeIR distribution.
For more details on these and other new features, please see the FAQ file included in the distribution. A more complete list of enhancements is given in the Release Notes document.
If you have any questions, PLEASE READ THE FAQ before you ask them in the forums.
