Using the TV0250 info I find that discrete power off is EFC 282. When I try to create a keymove and enter EFC 282, IR converts this to 026. It will not take 282.

Is this correct, or is there some thing else going on.

EFC numbers are all actually in the range 0 to 255.

But some are published with higher numbers.

If you use an EFC number higher than 255 directly from the keyboard of the remote, the remote will subtract whatever multiple of 256 is required to get the number into range.

Via the JP1 interface, there is no way to use an out of range EFC. The JP1 software tools will subtract the required multiple of 256 to get the same actual EFC the remote would have used.

EFC's can range from 000 to 768, but the base numbers are 000-255. If the EFC > 512, subtract 512. If the EFC > 256, subtract 256.

Therefore, 026 = 282 = 538. They all equal the same thing.

I thought this might be the case. Thanks for the clarification.
