Israel YESMaxHD ADB-7820sx Box Code
Hello All,
Just got a Sling Box Solo in Israel and I'm having problems with setting up the IR codes for the Yes Max HD box which is ADB-7820sx. Does anyone has an experience with it and knows where to get the BIN files for it?
The IR Blaster ver is 4
Thanks.
Eli

Hi
I don't think there is much future for you in those 2 boxes. They both use the NEC1 protocol and having loaded the ADB-7820SX onto my Harmony Universal Remote it seems to use the Dreambox protocol. Which is a real pain as this a difficult protocol to get working.
Happy to try though so I suggest we close this thread and continue to discuss it in the thread you have started in the Sling Community.

Yes Max - Israel Remote Code
Hi,
I just got Yes Max (SAT Receiver/DVR).
Does anyone know what code I need for the remote for my SLingbox Classic?
The code that I used for the Yes receiver without the DVR doesn't work at all on this. I found several threads, but nothing final.
Those idiots at Echostar decided to shut down Slingcommunity.com, so they could "give us better service" by taking away a great support forum.
Any help is appreciated.

Hi
Glad it works. Not much I can do about the Exit button. What I do in these situations is to load the device onto my Harmony Universal Remote and use that to 'mimic' the original remote. In this case the version on the Logitech database does not have the Exit button defined so I can't learn the code.
You can do it yourself using trial and error and it's all covered in my Article, which is now stored at https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=6413
But give me 24 hours and I will update it, as things have changed a bit since I wrote it.

the readme file wrote:If you have problems do NOT just report that it 'doesn't work', that is totally useless for someone trying to understand what is going on. So report the following:
1. Was there any error message after you typed in the Code (and Tapped the Power button in V2.0) ?
2. Did you give the Power command plenty of time to react ? (I have a DVR that takes about 6-8 seconds to power up/down)
3. After completing the setup (regardless of whether the Power button worked) do any of the other buttons work ?
4. Have you used a Digital Camera to confirm the IR Blaster is actually firing when you tap the Power button ?
5. Have you experimented with the placement of the IR Blaster ?
