|
|
1. Device: Sony Bravia Sync buttons
2. Type of device: Multidevice (see below)
3. Year: don't know but recent
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: URC-7781
5. Do you have a JP1 cable?: Yes
6. Still have original remote?: No
7. Checked the file section?: Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)?: Yes
9. Partially working setup code?: No
10. Learning remote question?: No
I've been looking through the files section, the sony codes page and the sticky sony codes post and can't find the codes for the Sony Bravia Sync buttons to control a PS3 Slim from my TV (Sony Bravia KDL-40W2000).
The original TV remote (RM ED008) doesn't have them so I can't record them. It seems that RM ED016 does have them but I can't either find the codes for it.
Could someone, please, post these codes?.
Thanks a lot.

The PS3 uses Bluetooth signals for its remote control, to use an IR remote you will need to obtain an adaptor. I think these have been mentioned here in the past if not try remote central as they have reveivewed many of the ones on the market. |

In this case the sony tv remote sends the IR commands to the tv, then the tv relays them via HDMI to the PS3 over bravia sync, so it bypasses bluetooth altogether. These codes will be very useful. |

I found a bargain Sony RM-ED0016 remote in eBay so I ordered it to record the buttons and here is the upgrade.
I had mixed opinions about my TV (Sony Bravia KDL-40W2000) being able or not to relay the codes but the fact is the it DOESN'T so I've uploaded with the upgrade a dump of a remote with the recorded codes for someone, please, to check them.
Someone is going to have a good time adding new codes to the Sony Codes pages as none of these were listed. |

I forwarded these to Rob Humfreys along with hundreds of other discrete codes
dev/obc - function
026 / 88 - (Bravia Sync) sync menu
026 / 91 - HDMI 1 (discrete)
026 / 92 - HDMI 2 (discrete)
026 / 93 - HDMI 3 (discrete)
026 / 94 - HDMI 4 (discrete)
119 / 13 - digital/analogue
119 / 96 - (Bravia Sync) theatre
151 / 24 - (Bravia Sync) stop
151 / 25 - (Bravia Sync) pause
151 / 26 - (Bravia Sync) play
151 / 27 - (Bravia Sync) Rewind
151 / 28 - (Bravia Sync) fast forward
Note there must be either 2 versions of the Sync Menu command as i decoded 26/88 from what Sony supplied me and what i got from a RM-G004 remote |

I'm trying to use these codes with a URC-9960 and I can't for the life of me figure out how to translate the device code. I've cross referenced the OBC to EFC and tried programming an advanced function key but it doesn't work. Can someone point me in the right direction? |

Do you have a cable? Or are you trying to do keymoves with a built in code?
And which 9960 do you have? On the back of the remote are there any letters after URC-9960? _________________ Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

It's a URC-9960B01 so 5 digit advanced codes. I'm trying to program the Bravia Sync Pause above. My Sony remote doesn't have the Pause for God only knows why. I'm trying to program an advanced code to any button. Ultimately, my goal is to teach my harmony remote the Bravia Pause so I can pause my PS3 via HDMI. |

It could be 64556 or 65068 depending on whether regne's or Mr Mod's list is the correct one. Let us know and we'll give you more to test, if you don't mind since the two lists have several differences. |

Ok, so I set the TV to 0810 and tried programming both 64556 and 65068 advanced codes to a button. Nada. 65068 very intermittently went through as fast forward if that means anything. |

Other sources seem to indicate Rob's list is the correct one. So see the if any of these work:
Code: |
Theater 12843
Stop 00556
Play 00812
Pause 64556
FFwd 00044
Rewind 65068
Sync Menu 04651
|
It's possible none work with the PS3. |

Hmm 64556 should have been a rewind.
My bravia synch codes learned from rm-YD034 for the 40ex500 were as follows
Code: |
Sync Menu 04765 Sony15 26 88
Theater 12843 Sony15 119 96
Stop 00556 Sony15 151 24
Play 00044 Sony15 151 26
rewind 64556 Sony15 151 27
Fast fwd 00812 Sony15 151 28
Prev 58156 Sony15 151 60
Next 57132 Sony15 151 61 |

Interesting. Well, I tried them all and here's what I got.
12843 - Theater
00556 - Nothing, Tv IR receive LED doesn't blink
00812 - Same as above
64556 - Rewind
00044 - Nothing, Tv IR receive LED doesn't blink
65068 - Pause
04651 - Nothing but the receive LED does blink so it may be something else
Not sure what is going on but I did find may pause so thank you folks very much |
