Last night I finally succeeded in constructing a JP 1.2/3 Serial interface and began setting up one of my many Comcast 1067 remotes to work with my Sharp LC-19SB25U (I bought it OEM and it didn't come with a remote). I downloaded this code list:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4255
and it's all accurate with the exception of the "industrial initialization" function which is supposed to bring my TV out of the "evil K mode", which it is now unfortunately stuck in. Evil K mode gives the TV 3 volume levels, automatically auto-adjusts the picture when I change the channel, and CC is stuck on. The CC button just shows/hides a green "K123" in the upper-left corner of the screen. If someone has some ideas, I'm open to suggestions.
EDIT: Fixed the problem. Apparently holding Vol- and Input while turning on the TV toggle "K123" service mode.
