Hi
I'm considering to buy a Samsung LE40A766 as my first LCD HDTV, and I would like to know how likely it will have discrete codes for input selection?

Thanks for the quick reply.
I probably should have indicated that I know there are many samsung upgrades including discrete codes in the file section, I have even used them for two samsung TVs that my parents have.
But I unfortunately know that there is no grantee that a specific model has discrete codes just because another model has, like Philips TVs seem to have many codes but none worked on my parents 37" LCD TV.
I have just ordered the TV so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

Right, there are no guarantees, but I selected a model where the model number begins with the same 2 letters as yours (ie, "LE"), which I think is a pretty good indicator. _________________ Rob

Thanks again, I actually missed that upgrade when I first looked in the file section.
