Opening existing Atlas OCAP (URC-1056) extender IR files with the latest IR (8.00 Beta 5) gives me a Fixed data error:
Quote:
There is a conflict at fixed data address $01FF. Do you want to replace the existing data with the fixed data?
Confused

Should I accept the data? Question

Or is this simply a function of the new IR and updated RDFs? Surprised

If so, I assume that means I cannot "convert" existing Atlas OCAP extender IR files, but must rebuild them from scratch? Evil or Very Mad

Additionally, I get a stream of error mesages when I select any of the version 2.05 rdf's in RM 1.88. I think that the lines pointing to the map and image files are somehow screwed up.

Could be that the map entry is wrong in the RDF, or simply that you don't have the image and map in the right place.

Could also be because RM and RMIR don't yet support the new RDF format. I'm working on it when I have time. It's getting close, but I haven't had much time available to work on it.

Actually, I just noticed that the RDF vesion 2.05 has an altered entry in the [Special Protocols] section compared to the 2.03 rdf (which works).

Code:
[SpecialProtocols]
Multiplex=01FE
DSM=01FC
LDKP=01F9
Pause=01FB (Pause)
ToadTog=0181

Previous versions of the RDF do not have (Pause) after the 01FB. I removed it and the RDF now works (with RM).

There is still an issue with the Fixed Data with respect to IR that I am not so quick to simply alter in the RDF. Version 2.05 of the RDF has:
Code:
[FixedData]
$01FE=$02 $05

while version 2.03 has:
Code:
# [FixedData]
# $0200=$FB,$04,$53,$52
I assume that it was changed for a reason.

Again, does this simply mean that I cannot "import" or convert an existing Extender IR file into one using the new RDF?

The 2.05 version supports the new pause timing supported in IR 8.0, but unfortunately RM doesn't like it prior to 1.89. That's the (Pause) part of the special protocols. You can either get RM 1.89 which will be ok with the new RDF or you can take the (pause) out and I think RM will not be unhappy. I have not yet had a chance to re-do the RDF's with Graham's latest

The Fixed data is a mistake of copying-pasting. The OCAP needs the

Code:

$200=$FB,$04,$53,$52

to work as well as the version number which is the

Code:

$01FE = $02, $05

looks like a touch-up is due on the Atlas extender.
