1. Device: Technics SL-MC50
2. Type of device: CD player, 50 disk unit
3. Year: 2000?
4. JP1/UEI Remote model: Atlas 1056 B01
5. Do you have a JP1 cable? In the mail!
6. Still have original remote? Yes
7. Checked the file section? Yes
8. Checked Pronto file section (at R/C)? Yes
9. Partially working setup code? None
10. Learning remote question? No
11. Have you tried the JP1 Lookup Tool? Yes

I tried all of the Technics codes and also did a scan of any device codes but none seem to do anything to this box. It is an oldie but a goodie and would like to add this last device to my remote. Any ideas?

Fortunately you have a cable on the way, since this CD Changer probably uses the Panasonic 160,10 signal. There isn't a built in setup code to send these signals in either the Atlas or the RCA remote that you mentioned in another thread.

We have upgrade files for 7 Techincs CD players in the file section, and my guess is that any one of them will get you very close to full control of your player.

As you now have a learning remote you will be able to capture the signals yourself if you find that you have some buttons not covered in the upgrades.

I have created an RM upgrade file for the Technics SL-MC50, 60-cd player. There are a few buttons on this remote that are not covered by other Technics upgrades. It is configured for pvr style remotes.

It is uploaded to the CD file section - Technics SL-MC50.
