Sky Plus - PACE TDS850NS
Hello.
I am an Italian user of the Slingbox and I recently got the Sky+ HD receiver. It is the Pace TDS850NS. I use the codes for Sky HD Italy, but I don't have the buttons to fully use Sky Plus, like the record buttons and the coloured buttons.
Is someone able to help me please?
Thank you very much.

Have you tried creating a BIN using this file...
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=4611
Here's a ready made bin file for the PL box:

Which version of the Slingbox do you have?

Have you tried creating an RV bin file using the upgrade file that I posted?

Open the file using RM.
Change the selected remote to the RV Slingbox
Select Advanced > Export Binary File
Change the selected remote to the RV Slingbox
Select Advanced > Export Binary File

Another alternative is to import a PL binary file, then change the remote to the RV Slingbox, then re-export.

I tried with both files but they don't work.
If I send you the file I am currently using which only has the normal Sky functions but not the Sky Plus, would it be impossible to add the Sky Plus buttons? (I mean the record, stop play buttons and the button to access the programs I recorded)
The other option for me would to buy a second SlingBox Solo and connect it to the hard disk recorder I already have so that I can record the programs on the hard disk recorder and then watch them when I want.
What do you suggest?
Thank you very much for your help.

Post a copy of your current BIN file in the file section (and then post a link to it). What I will then do is import the file using RM to see what protocol, device code, etc it uses. I will then compare this data to the various Sky upgrades to see which ones it matches. If I find a match, and the matching upgrade has the buttons that you're looking for, that's the file that you should try using.
I'm spelling out the steps so anyone who wants to try this for themselves will know how.

This is the link to the Sky HD file I am using. I use it with a Sky HD Plus but it has no Sky Plus buttons (i.e. I can change channels and turn the receiver on and off, but I cannot record TV programs and I can't use the coloured buttons).
I hope you can help me.
Best regards.

I imported that BIN file, it uses UEI's "XMP" protocol (aka "Dreambox" in RM) with fixed data "14 0F 44 31". I looked around and found a matching upgrade file but it doesn't have any more buttons that what's included in the BIN file.

In order to add more buttons I would need to know their codes, and I don't have that info at this time.
However, I did notice that the button codes for the Sky were the same as those for the Cisco, even if the fixed data is different, so I used those to create the following experimental RV upgrade:

You are getting there Rob.
The second file you uploaded (S2001_RV.bin) is better but not yet perfect. By pressing the Menu button I can enter the Setup page of the receiver(which is great to setup manual recording) and by pressing the Input button (which I can only find in the bar menu above) I can view the list of my recordings.
So I can almost use the Sky Plus functions now. The only problem is that the Info button is not working anymore while it was working before on the older remote I uploaded, and I cannot have access to the Sky TV Guide by pressing "Guide".
Ideally I would like to get 4 more things:
1) restore the old "Info" button which was very useful on the remote I uploaded
2) the "Info" button on the remote version S2001 (the one you uploaded) should be the "Exit" button as it works as the "Esc" button on the Sky remote
3) be able to access the Sky TV Guide
I hope you can still help me, it would be great to solve these three little things.

I have more feedback.
I experimented a little and there are other buttons that works but they are in the wrong spot.
In the top part of the remote there are the VCRs buttons. If I press the "Stop" button it pauses the show; if I press it again the show starts again but it is delayed of a few seconds because I stopped it for a few seconds. So the "Stop" button should be the "Play/Pause" button.
The big "Play" button at the top it's not working properly, infact it sends different commands if I am replaying an old show or if I am watching live. So I would just disable it.
The "Fast forward" button is the REC button and it works great. So I would put it under the REC button.
Also I would put somewhere in the remote the "Input" button so that I can access the list of my recordings.
Lastly the "Program Up and Down" button are not working (the two small arrows next to the PG just under the four buttons "GUIDE-MENU-EXIT-INFO".
The "GUIDE" and "EXIT" buttons are not working, so I would disable them.
If you explain me how to do it I can try to modify the buttons I told you, but I need some instructions on how to do it.
Thank you for your help Rob.

Here is the RM file that I used to create that BIN file:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=6235
What you need to do is open it up using RM and change the names of the functions that do the wrong thing, then once they're all renamed, go to the Buttons tab and re-assign them to better buttons. (Btw, the old INFO button is called LIVE in this RM file).
When you're done, select the Advanced menu item (in RM) and then select "Export Binary Upgrade" and this will create a new BIN file for you.
Yes, it really is that simple.

Hello Rob.
I have been trying to modify the file for the last hour but no success at all.
First of all I tried to delete the PAGE UP and PAGE DOWN buttons and I think I did everything right and I exported the file first to the desktop and then I copied-pasted it in the SBAV folder of the Slingbox. However when I go through the setup in the Sling Player software and I type the alternative code S2002 (which is the name of the file I created) it says "Process failed; error 0x93260001". What am I doing wrong? I could use all the files you previously uploaded, but I can't use mine.
If you want to check the file I created starting from your file named "Sky+_HD_(Italy)_experiment.rmdu" this is the link for my file. https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... le_id=6238
Thank you for your help.
