If you have unzipped the RDFs into a folder, can't you see the URC-8820 in that folder? It should be the 2nd from the top.
As for why IR.exe can't find the RDF, that is most likely because you haven't told IR what the path to the RDFs is.
File > Set Directory > RDF Path
then DOUBLE CLICK the folder name to set it. _________________ Rob

Pick URC-6820_8820_10820 from the list when you do File - New. The file it's looking for is "10631063 (URC-6820_8820_10820).rdf", which is in the RDF's you downloaded. Just to make sure you have the model you think you have, look at the raw data tab and confirm that the signature shown is 10631063. If it isn't, then you don't have an 8820 but something else. |

Thanks a lot for that response! Just what I needed. Put it in with IR, and VIOLA! That is a big move forward. Now I am on to bigger and better things. But, standby! I'm sure that I will encounter more difficulties as I try to move to the next level. |

Rob,
I really don't have any suggestions. I'm still pretty dazzled by the whole thing. There is just so much information it is hard for an old man to assimilate much of it. Know that all of you are busy, and I sure appreciate all of the help that I have received so far. |
