I have a URC-8810 that I've managed to set up exactly the way I want it with 2 DTivos, DVD, VCR, TV and Receiver. I really appreciate all the work people have done on the utilities and device files.
My final difficulty: I have a macro set up to power off everything using discrete off codes. I assigned discrete off (#204) to phantom1 on all of my devices, and it works on all except my Pioneer VSX-D810S receiver.
Discrete On (#208) works fine.
It works when I manually press setup-204. So I tried adding setup-2-0-4 explicitly to the macro instead of using a phantom key. It still doesn't work. Again, the sequence setup-2-0-8 works in a macro for discrete on.
Any ideas?
Thanks

Well, if you have a discrete on code, then you can use Discrete On followed by power in your macro.
It seems like you're doing everything right. Maybe your receiver needs a delay inserted before the discrete off. Also, try assigning Discrete Off to a physical button and see if that works. That might help you see what is wrong.
Finally I don't believe setup-x-x-x works in macros in all remotes. I think it works in older remotes, but not the newer ones.
