I cannot get the shift key to work on my Atlas OCAP URC-1056.
I'm using remote master.I have assigned the keys and everything but if I press the shift key + 1 it does not work.

Any ideas?

Here is a screenshot of remote master:

You need to press SETUP *twice* before it will work with shifted numeric buttons.

I don't get it... I press set-up twice on the remote and then shift + 1 at the same time on the remote? Well I did that and nothing happen.

Press shift shift 1 to execute the function you've programmed on shift 1. When the remote sees one shift followed by a number, it thinks you're entering a code. Two shifts gets around this behavior.

Carl, is one of your keys labeled shift? In the JP1 world SETUP is what we are refering to as your shift key. Setup, setup, 1 = Shift 1 don't press any keys at the same time!

Are you using the button labeled SHIFT? The shift button is actually the SETUP button.

Well that is why you are not getting results. Press Setup,setup,1 the SHIFT label that is on your Atlas is refering to some function of your equipment, not a JP1 shift.

While this isn't completely helpful to you, I note odd behavior with shift(s) and a numeral key for DVD. I did a test with a "virgin 3033 JP1.3 Atlas" download, and put a keymove on shift+1. It behaves differently than yours does.

Yours, after some number of key presses, testing the shift 1, 2, or 3, will light the DVD key for about 2-3 times as long as a single keypress should light it. I also note that you've stripped out many of the "built-in" setups.

These atlas remotes are sensitive to unknown setups, or if too many of the built-in ones are deleted and will behave unpredictable.

As a test, add in your devices to this virgin 3033 JP1.3 Atlas setup HERE . And add the keymoves shift+1, etc. into it and see if it behaves better. Note that you may need to turn off the Setup code locks on the right panel of the General tab/page.

Report back how that goes.

Code:
setup, setup, 1

So pressing the above keys does not do what you want,

It could be that the function doesn't work on your equipment. Did you try the code on another non-shifted key to make sure its operates your equipment?
