JP1 Remotes

With the aid of these forums I had achieved pretty much all I wanted to for controlling my equipment, but then I went and bought an Apple TV and hit a road block. I have 7781 and 7556 remotes. I have learnt that both of these use the HCS08 processor, and that the Apple TV upgrade won't work with these models (message in KM/RM) . I also tried V3 of the Ipod docking system upgrade, which has the same original remote and says it supports all JP1 processors, but no go with that either. I am thinking my only options are to spend weeks trying to fathom assembler for the various remotes, or wait until someone else writes one. Am I right, or have I got the wrong end of the stick somewhere? Any input gratefuly received.

Try the Apple TV upgrade now. I've added a beta HCS08 executor to the upgrade:

Mike, you are a star. As far as I can tell, that now works perfectly and is indistinguishable in operation to the original remote. Great job.
