help creating upgrade

I'm sorry I'm having a mare of a day and haven't used Jp1 files or RM for what seems like years now. I need a couple of upgrades, one for my Denon AVRX2700H receiver and one for sky IP0618 streaming box. I searched and couldn't find a suitable upgrade or starting point so learned some signals from the Denon remote but cannot get an upgrade working. I downloaded the ''tutorial on using IR and RM with an existing device upgrade file, or how to create your own'', but its blank.
Any helpful suggestion would be appreciated. I have uploaded the learned Denon remote to the files section.

When you want us to look at a file, it's customary to post a link to it, so we don't have to go searching. To save others the effort, here is the link:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/app. ... e_id=27285
So, what problems are you having with this? I looked at your rmir file and all of the learns decode as Denon-K with device code 4, and all of the OBCs are displayed, so that should be all of the info that you need to create an upgrade. I did check the Devices section to see if you've already tried to create a Denon-K upgrade, but I don't see one, so it doesn't look like you were able to even get started. As you didn't say what you tried, I can't guess where you went wrong.
I just created one using your learns here:
https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/app. ... e_id=27286
The whole process is described here:
https://hifi-remote.com/wiki/index.php/ ... y_Is_It%3F
Most of the other Denon upgrades in the Audio folder also use Denon-K with device code 4, so most of them will probably work your unit:

I'm really sorry I didn't post the link. I did try to create an upgrade several times. RMIR gave 3 options to create an upgrade from the learns and I used those bases to try to develop the upgrade unsuccessfully. Thank you so much for creating an upgrade for me, I will look at this after work today along with the guide. I really appreciate your work, thanks.

Ive reviewed and it is the same a the first upgrade I created so I was on the right track. However my Denon isnt responding to any buttons and though I cant yet figure out why, I believe it must be something simple I have overlooked. I have uploaded the remote file if anyone can review and see what I'm doing wrong, the file is

When you originally learned the signals from the Denon remote, did you test the learns to see if they work?
how many JP1 remotes do you have? If you have more than one, could you try loading the upgrade into one remote and then capturing the signals with a 2nd one? I'd like to compare the original learns to these new learns.

I did test them and would never attempt to create an upgrade without first doing that. I will do as you suggested with a 2nd remote.

The 2nd learns certainly look close enough to the 1st ones that they should work. Some of the ON times look a little short, so all I can think of is, are you using really fresh batteries in the remote?

I think most modern Denon AVRs share codes, here is a simple upgrade that I made (I included the day to day stuff but there are literally tons of codes)

I am an avid Denon user myself; first AVR-3808, then A100 (~AVR-4311), and now AVC-4800H.
This file contains the commands that I use for my AVC-4800. It is in Girr format; RMIR/RMDU can "open" it directly; just save it to disc and "open" it. Be sure to select executor 00CD:2* in the popup that occurs.
I have read through this thead, and, I apologize, "this cannot happen". Your original file loads, decodes, and converts fine for me (v3.2.14). If you think you have a bug. upload your rmaster.err, together with a detailed explanation of what happens.
However my Denon isnt responding to any buttons and though I cant yet figure out why, I believe it must be something simple I have overlooked.
First make sure that the AVR is not set to accept Bluetooth commands. Then "learn" the signals the remote is actually sending, when sending something that should work. (May require additional hardware

.)

Thanks for looking in and responding guys. I have tried many of the Denon K upgrades found in the file section including n8nagels but the same result with all. I have 2 7955 and have tried both. I did managed to develop one of the Sky upgrades for my own use, but unable to do so with any Denon upgrade.
What do mean when you say upload my rmaster.err? And finally how do I make sure the AVR is not set to receive Bluetooth commands, I dont see any option to select or switch this.

When you first learned the signals, you said the learned buttons did work with your Denon, which confirms that the Denon is able to receive and respond to IR signals. So, the question is, why does the OEM remote and the learned signals work, but the upgrades do not? You didn't comment on whether you are using fresh batteries in the remote.

My apologies for not replying about the batteries, yes I have tried fresh batteries right at the start before I started posting. The batteries are fully recharged and I thought if the batteries were the problem it would have been at the learning stage.
Now you mention OEM, I hadnt tried the OEM process before and found a Denon one which works. Is it possible to edit those codes in anyway? I dont see an option in RMIR to do so.

You know how with computers and appliances, when all else fails, you ask "have you tried turning it off and on?", well, in the remote world, when all else fails, we ask about the batteries, and in a surprising number of cases, changing the batteries for fresh ones has made a difference. As it sounds like you're using re-chargeable batteries, do you have any regular batteries you could try? Rechargeable batteries have been known to have a lower voltage than regular ones.
