While testing RMIR I decided to do some work on my URC-1056 B03
This remote can transmit The TV and Cable, power code when its device button is pressed.
While this can be a nice feature I wanted it off while i was testing things
I have added a setting in the RDF that can turn this feature on and off
but i am not sure what to name it and documentation did not help me much
so what do i call it "TV/CBL PWR" "Device pwr" " Power on Tv/Cbl " on off
what is the correct name i should use?

Are you looking for an industry standard or just something creative & concise?

How about Power Macro?

Not looking for industry standard and no power macro would not be it
the remote send tv power when tv button pressed and the cable box power when the cable device button pressed
Just looking for what we in JP1 would normally call this
such as "power on device button" but this remote only has it on tv and cable device none of the other device buttons

How are you turning this feature on and off? Does the remote have a bit that controls that, or have you invented some sort of hack? Or are you simply not assigning a function to the "device button" in your upgrades?

My suggestion for a name would be "Device button as Power button" or, if that's too long, "Dev as Pwr".

No this is not a Hack it is a normal function of the remote and I assume there might be a 9xx command to enable/disable it I just have not tried that yet.
It is a segmented remote so that makes it easier for me to play with.
So far I have never bricked one by playing with the segments
It is similar to adding the setting for the back light timing
I sometimes look at the RDF'S of remotes I do not have to see if they have a similar feature to see how it was written into the RDF
I like "Dev as Pwr" for a name and i thought there was a RDF similar but I just have not found it.
But then again there is a lot of RDF'S to read

Well from this page I found out the 972 command to enable/disable this feature

It seems like if they used Power On rather than Power Toggle, they would not be so disruptive.
