JP1 Remotes

I am trying to replace an RCRP05B with another one. The old one has an extender (v1.04). I'm having a hard time trying to figure out how to get the extender installed, and then upload my existing setup into the new remote. I tried to follow some of the notes in the extender FAQ, but it seems a bit out of date.

Is there a summary of the exact steps to take a factory fresh remote and get the extender and config uploaded?

Never mind. I figured out what I was doing wrong. I had to unplug the JP1 cable so the TV button would work and I could hit OK to activate it.
