JP1 Remotes

Several years ago, I bought and used this cable marked JPI.1.2./3(see pics attached) with my Mac desktop computer. Unfortunately, it does not seem to work any longer. I keep getting "No remote found". Am I missing something? I did download and installed the Prolific Mac driver. Do I have to buy a different cable? Or does it work only on Windows 10 computers?

On my URC-3660, it turned out to be broken interface pin on my remote.
