new yamaha soundbar codes

hi, i have a new yamaha audio sr-c20a sound bar i'm trying to construct a device upgrade, but i'm missing something.
the decode for vol+: NEC1 {D=120,S=,F=30}
for vol-: NEC1 {D=120,S=,F=31}
for mute: NEC1 {D=120,S=,F=156}
i entered NEC1 for protocol in a new device upgrade and device=120. this gave the following device upgrade code:
Upgrade Code2 = 0B B9 (Cable/3001) (RMDU v2.12.15)
00 5A 00 41 00 E1 00 82 A2 D2
End
i entered functions:
VOL+ 00030 030 190 82
VOL- 00031 031 186 A2
MUTE 00156 156 180 D2
then assigned them to the respective buttons. i choose an unused setup code, 3001, and assigned it to the AUD device button. i upload to the remote, short press the AUD button and it doesn't control the device.
did i miss a step? the full remote setup is here http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=27208
see the next to the last device that's NEC1 for the one i made.
best,
jeff
