|
|
I was changing the TV code for my 8810 and then the 8810 died, ie. the red light would not come on when any button is pushed including setup.
I thought the batteries might be low so I replaced them with two new batteries. When I replace the batteries, the red light blinks twice but it still doesn't work.
I don't know if shorting any of the pins on the JP1 will cause a reset so I can make this work.
Any ideas would be appreciated. |

Sounds like you have a button trapped in the ON position. _________________ Rob

It that ALWAYS the case when you get the red light blinking twice on a OneForAll URC?
I'm having that problem and I don't know if my URC has died or what... |

If the red light blinks twice when you first put the batteries in, but after that the remote doesn't respond, then yes, it's most likely because you have a button trapped in the ON position. But I can't say that it's ALWAYS the case as there are just too many variables.
I assume you've already checked for trapped buttons? _________________ Rob

After reading you reply, I went over the entire remote thoroughly and found a button that was stuck but was very hard to tell. There was some schmootz stuck in beside one of the volume buttons
Thanks for the great info, as always!!! |
