JP1 Remotes

I have a pioneer receiver model VSXD710S which uses remote model XXD3028. My remote has broken but a friend has a Pioneer model XXD3056 remote which comes with the Pioneer receiver model VSXD912K.

His receiver is broken. The question is...will the XXD3056 remote work on my receiver or be programmable to work. Physically the remotes look identical except the 3056 has a small LCD screen on the top. All function buttons are the same otherwise.

He lives out of town but will send me his if it will work.

Any thoughts?

I doubt it would be programmable but there's a high probability it will work on your system as Pioneer tends to be fairly consistent in their functions from one model to another. For the cost of some postage you should at least try.

You can also control your unit with a JP1/JP1.x remote as we have lots of Pioneer upgrades available, including one for your specific VSXD710S.
