Opening up an RS-2116/2117?

Anyone know the best way to open the RS-2116/2117 without damaging the case? I'm having a strange problem with mine and would like to open it up to see if I can find anything wrong but I'm worried about damaging the case when I pry it apart. Any help would be appreciated.
