A "setup code" is just a catalog number that UEI has assigned to their version of what we call an "upgrade". Keep in mind that when we create JP1 upgrades and we assign them setup codes, those setup codes are meaningless. For example, I typically use setup code "2000" when creating upgrades.
We can look up UEI setup codes to see what their protocol and device codes are. "Device codes" are the actual number that is encoded in the IR signal itself. TV/4618 does indeed use NEC1 device 4, just like the 2 Hisense upgrades in the file section.
I count 71 TV upgrades in the file section that use NEC1 dev 4, but I didn't check any of them to see if the button codes are similar. _________________ Rob

HH had the right idea, but v1.16 of that file has been surpassed by v1.17
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload.php?action=file&file_id=26701
That file is a list of every upgrade in the file section and it tells you the protocol and device code info. To get the button codes for the various files, you will need to download them and open them using RM.
Here's a hint, column B is a link to the file here, so that's a quick way to get to the file. I have already downloaded all 71 files and am about 1/2 way through getting the button codes from them. _________________ Rob

Here is a spreadsheet that documents all the TVs that use NEC1 dev 4, I've grouped together the brands were there were lots of upgrades (ie, LG, Syntax, Vizio) and created separate master lists for them. You can compare the Hisense listing to see which other ones you think it's similar to.
While most of the upgrades have the same VOL, CH and numeric codes, they do different in the other buttons.
If you haven't done so already, I would strongly recommend you first learn and document the buttons from your OEM remote, and then test the gap OBCs to see what else your TV supports, because your list might be different to all of those in my master list.
