Powerfull tool

Has anyone played with this Flipper Zero Tool It sounds rather powerful and has more than what I would ever need
A friend has one but i will only get to see him demonstrate it to me I'm sure he won't lend it to me. It is expensive $169.00 so I guess i will just admire his

I own one such since some time. When it comes to IR, it does not offer that much: a standard demodulating TSMP-*38 and one (or more?) sendng IR-LEDs. It does not come with a non-demodulating receiver, so its use for IR investigation is by necessity limited. So it can only capture "standard" IR signals, 36-40 kHz modulation, not measuring the modulation frequency. For example, this tool, preferably in conjunction with IrScrutinizer, is more more powerful.

One person volunteered to add support to IrScrutinizer for learning, but there does not seem to be much progress.

The learns from the Flipper are stored as simple text files, so it should be possible to read and generate from, for example, IrScrutinizer.

Having said that, the possibilities of decoding and sending RF codes, NFC, RFID, etc, etc is what makes this tool valuable. Just don't buy it for its IR capacities.

Can it send the Zigbee signals used by recent UEI remotes (whether JP1-able or not) with RF support?

It appears that the answer is no, at least without customized hardware ("WiFi developer board") or firmware. Zigbee appears to prefer 2.4GHz, while the Flipper is strong on "Sub-GHz" signals. Actually, I did some experiments with an IKEA Tradlos switch; the Flipper did not detect anything.

BTW, For normal Zigbee applications, I use Zigbee with a Sonos Zigbee 3.0 USB Dongle Plus connected to a BananaPi running Homeassistant, using the zha driver.
