Hello.
I have a Pre-Amplifier that has a 48 Button remote. I have bad eyesight and keep turning OFF the correct input. I want to get a Remote that only has 6 or so buttons. Basically all I need is volume up / down, input source, standby. The manufacturer has said that I need to look for HEX 16. 16 / 16.17 / 16.20 / 16.21 16/30. I dont really know what to look for or what to buy off the shelf. A lot of generic remotes are cheaply made - and also have about 50 buttons too! There are a few that are made for old people with sight problems that only have 6 buttons - but how do I check if they will work? THANKS

Google "big button learning remote". Then just learn the functions you need, no hex codes required. I'd post more specific suggestions, but I don't know what's readily available in the UK.

Here is a learning remote with backlighting. I have one of these. It works well.
