Setting Slingbox m1/m2 with Digital TV Tuner Box

Post by nom3d »

I'm trying to figure out if it's possible to control a Channel Master set-top tv tuner box to work with Slingbox m1/m2. I'd like to be able to use the slingbox to stream local channels when I'm out of state. I know I can use Plex or Emby, but that cost money each month. I already have a few slingboxes so hoping it's possible to do so. I've done quite a bit f searching but have not had any luck. If there was a guide on how to set this up with any brand TV Tuner box I'd be willing to purchase the box. Thanks for the help and direction!

We have several channel master remote models in our file section. Some are already in the BIN form needed for slingbox.

I’m sure when Alan, our slingbox expert, checks in he will want to know what model channel master?
Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Thats great news! I'm excited to finally get this to work! Could you please post a link to where I can find those files? I'm new to the site and having trouble finding my way around, thanks!

Nevermind, believe I found it here (CM-7001)

Just curious if anyone out there is doing this same thing? Didn't see anything on youtube.

It's been downloaded 132 times so I guess there are quite a few :D

The instructions link is out of date, use http://www.rmrsoft.com/how_to_install_a ... ngbox.html
