The simple answer is yes, assuming the Bose remote is IR not RF. I am not familiar with the device so I am not sure if it is IR since many Bose devices are RF. If it is IR you can learn the buttons to the 2116. If the Bose remote is RF it will not learn to the 2116 so that is one sure fire way to find out. The other is to look at the remote and see if it has an IR emiter. If the front looks like solid plastic it is probably RF so you would be out of luck.

Have you tried using the 2116 to learn the Bose remote signals?
Here's a KM upgarde from the yahoo files section

You have all parts of the puzzle right there in front of you: the OEM remote, a learning-capable JP1 remote, and the JP1 software tools.
Try learning some (or all) of the functions and see how they decode in IR. As long as the Bose doesn't use RF (I don't remember what the Wave uses), you should be able to build an upgrade.

Sure, there's an upgrade for it in the Misc folder, here's a link:
Bose-Wave-Radio-KM.txt.
But you are going to need to figure out how to use JP1 in order to be able to use this upgrade.
