Especially to the developers and people who are keeping up with all this.

Of course it is OK.
I would like to extend the sentiments to those with traditions, cultures, and/or faiths other than our own.
Because we are an international community, and because life would be so boring and sad without diversity.
So,

Happy New Year,
Happy Hanukkah (belated),
Happy Kwanzaa,
Happy Winter Solstice (belated)
