JP1 USB/SERIAL drivers

Post by iboston »

Well, i recently transitioned to a new computer. My remote died, and i needed to upload my data to a new remote. Well, long story short, i couldn't get the drivers installed because they were NOT digitally signed.

Something that should have taken me 5 minutes took me 30 minutes.

First off, are there any available digitally signed drivers?

But, to hopefully, save someone some time, make sure you completely REMOVE/UNINSTALL the driver first if you already installed it. You do that through computer management, and right click the non working driver, and choose to uninstall it.

After you have removed, it, open a dos box, and issue the following command :

bcdedit /set nointegritychecks ON

Then, install the driver.

Got that done, re-programmed my new remote and am back in business.
Remote : URC-7780 & URC-10820N
