ID'ing a remote

Post by Easily Befuddled »

I have a Comcast-branded remote which may be a JP1.

It's silver with a red OK.
It has the following battery compartment label:

RC145505/00MB 15481
CIFA No. 19100
Made in China COB
HK02 40730 A 002725 LF

The 6-pin jack in labeled 1003, not JP1.

Does this identify the unit?

The most reliable way to identify a remote is by its signature.
Follow these instructions to do a signature blink back.

Remember to provide feedback to let us know how the problem was solved and share your upgrades.

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

So it appears to be a JP1.3

Yup, 3039 is the sig for the "Comcast DVR URC-1067Bx3 JP1.3" remote, so it's a known remote for us.
