Device Code Lists

Post by Oinge 1953 »

Getting back into JP1 after being away for several years. Been doing a lot of reading and browsering while waiting on a cable from China.

I seem to remember there was a website that had code lists for various devices and manufacrures that was helpful when looking for "new"codes. I looked at remote central, but that doesn't seem to be the site I was looking for. Anybody know what I am looking for and where I can find it?

You might want to check out this post

And at the bottom of the main page of the wiki there are links to master lists

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

Thanks for the reply, but doesn't seem to be what i am looking for. As i remember it was a website with pages of codes used by a universal remotes and what code was assigned to which button. For example the page might be for RCA TV Code 034. The page would show the functions supported by showing the Button and code supported for that code. For example POWER ON = 49. It also had a section of codes that might work on the specific device but not supported directly by the code for the device. For Exaple; Service mode = 74.

I may try to fire up my old old desktop and see if I bookmarked the site I'm looking for.

The advance Code list was the site I was looking for. Thanks much. I always remembered this forum (site) as being very helpful. Glad to see it hasn't changed.
