Hi,
I'm a newby to this site.
I have used this file
http://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=11417
for my Pace TDS865IMC. Alan Richey uploaded this file some time ago.
All instructions ie program selection, cursor, and keypad are duplicated.
I have tried other BIN files available on this site for this decoder and all of them work, but it skips every second program you want to view.
It would be appreciated if someone can have a look and tweak the bin file to be set at zero repeat rate.
I have a slingbox M1...
Hope to hear from you.
James

As far as I know that BIN file has already been tweaked so not much else I can do. I see it has the old instructions, so maybe it isn't being installed properly ?
Try http://placeshiftingenthusiasts.com/how ... -slingbox/

Thanks Alan,
Many thanks for the quick response.
I have followed the new instructions, and it still send 2 bursts of code to the PVR
However, I have found a work-around to select either even or uneven channels, so I can get all the channels I need.
For instance, If I press 114 on the keypad of the slingplayer remote, the instruction from the slingbox to the PVR is 111144.
The PVR goes to channel 111, and then immediately to 144 (the first 3 digits are thus replaced by the last 3), so channel 144 is what is selected and viewed. I can then scroll up or down with the program selector key, and get all the even channels, ie 144, 146 , 148 etc.
To select and view uneven channels, I press 115, (111155 code is sent) and channel 155 is then viewed, and once again I can scroll up or down to select the uneven channels.
It is much easier to do this than re-writing a bin file I guess.
Not exactly the right way to go about things, but this works well enough for me.
Thanks
James

Good, although I can now see the problem.
For the experts, The basic entry for XMP (Slingbox) in PROTOCOLS.INI is:
Code.S3C80=43 8B 71 8B 05 00 00 69 01 67 08 0A F0 C0 04 0A C0 60 C0 0E 04 07 C0 88 C0 B6 C8 08 CF 10 09 6B 05 E4 0A 09 B0 0A C0 C5 E6 0D 02 F6 FF 47 C6 F8 9E E5 F6 01 58 F6 01 0A 46 08 80 08 C8 7B EC 37 5E 3F 46 08 10 00 C0 56 C0 0F 56 07 F0 44 C0 07 6C 03 F6 FF 5C C6 F8 17 F1 F6 01 58 4C 04 F6 FF 6C F6 FF 6C 6E 4A F7 1C 12 8D 01 4C F6 FF 67 F1 C6 C7 26 56 C2 0F 6B 09 C6 F8 00 3E F6 01 58 2A F7 AF
but it appears that the [no repeat] version I have is exactly the same.
which byte should be changed ?
Thanks
Al

Al,
In case you haven't resolved this, please note that each distribution of RMIR has a version of protocols.ini included. For some time now, protocols.ini has a [no repeat] section. The XMP (Slingbox) [no repeats] entry from RMIR 2.03 Build 15 isThis is not the same as the regular entry, and visual inspection of the code suggests that it will not repeat. BTW, XMP is a complicated executor, and it isn't sufficient to change a single byte.
The menu item "Show Slingbox protocols" must be selected in the Options menu in order for RMIR or RM to show them.

Thanks for that. I now recall that when I was testing a BETA of 2.03 that the [XMP (Slingbox) (no repeat)] did not show up in RM/RMIR and I was in a hurry so I reverted to my own PROTOCOLS.INI. And totally forgot to report the problem to you. Sorry. I just upgraded to Build 15 (I was on Build 13 before) and confirmed the problem is still there. The other [no repeat] protocols show up (although I haven't checked them all), but the XMP (Slingbox) (no repeat) does not appear.
James; I've rebuilt the remote with the new protocol. Can you give it a try ?

Hi Alan
Downloaded, installed, but its still repeating.
I have just checked the power button, I can switch the PVR on, but not off..- It goes off for a split second and then come on again..
Anyways, I can watch the channels I wish to with the workaround described above. Appreciate your help.
