Post by chuliu »

I have one and only one remote that sends rf signal, remote of the roku stick. I wonder what is a cheaper ir capable universal remote to buy?

It should better to jp1 friendly and be able to handle ir signal as well.

Thanks.

There is no such thing as a universal RF remote (ie, one that work RF controlled devices). The universal remotes that advertise RF abilities (like the URC-9910, etc) use RF to control a range extender, in other words, you can use the remote to control devices in another room because the remote sends the IR signals via an RF signal to the extender box, which converts them back into IR signals.

Just replace your Roku Stick with any other Roku. Then you can control it with any universal.
