I'm assuming you also incorporated the two suggested changes you mentioned here.
Beyond those, I can't think of anything else. So I say go for it.

The extender seems pretty solid, and is based on the Atlas code base so most of the code is exactly the same (with the exception of the HT setup stuff that I re-did with this extender)
The Insignia is gonna be a bit more of a problem, the underlying remote is a bit different and is going to take some more surgery to the core extender code.

v1.0
I see double blinks when Set_Other_Key runs.
Results are, as defined in Vicky's list:
dev4 blinked DVD/vcr
dev5 blinked CBL/sat
dev6 blinked DVR/aux
All others are intact.
And yes, as Bill says, the other changes are in as well.
Thanks Bill for this nice extender

Edit/update:
Continuing about "where am I" in case anyone is interested,

dev4/Dash= DSM Dev_dev4;Set_Other;SHIFT-Dash 2 blinks dvd/vcr
dev5/Dash= DSM Dev_dev5;Set_Other;SHIFT-Dash 2 blinks cbl/sat
dev6/Dash= DSM Dev_dev6;Set_Other;SHIFT-Dash 2 blinks dvr/aux
All I have to do now it to find and put some 2mm stickers over vcr, sat, aux to change to what I have on these buttons.

Now that we have double blink for virtual devices, these SP keymoves tell me where I am after some time of not using it (so I don't turn off something I didn't mean to, for instance)I have a way to find out which is the active/current device. Quite simple actually.
Using a harmless command such as what I have in the upgrades on the Dash button. Two of my devices had nothing there, so I added something similar to "-" for entering channel numbers. Pressing "-" button in the wrong context blinks, and the gear ignores it.
