i'm from Italy and my specific need was to add remote control for a medley HMR-500 (aka ellion hmr-700) to a sling box.

I've read the forum and found the whole jp1 thing very interesting, beyond my needs so I'm asking you if a serious approach to the matter is getting 2 urc-8910 from Rob (for me and for my father-in-law).

Hoping that Rob is still selling those rc...

BTW, why does it seem the OFA JP1.2 trio of remotes is very scarce on the web? For a moment, I thought I struck gold on one website that said they had 50 8820s in stock only to say later that they actually had 0 in stock.

I did receive your order and will try to get it out soon. I have no idea what the current status of OFA remotes is in the market place. It has been a while since they released any new ones, and there aren't any JP1.3 OFA remotes in the US market place, so I would expect them to come out with new models sometime soon. I don't have any inside knowledge in that department though ('cause I haven't asked, to be honest).
