I also am a big fan of hard buttons , but now in New Zealand we are limited to the ones that are being bought in , and there are a few downsides also to some of the remotes that are coming in , ie the 7555 which is probably the closest thing to the good old 7562 (my personel favourite) all hard buttons , has device leds, larger buttons for volume /chan change
I was thinking with the display on it I can see what device mode the remote is in, it looks like most of the general buttons are hard buttons except device and vcr/dvd control buttons
What is your favourite remote
Cheers Again Robert

Let me see if I can get some in. My standard international shipping, which is specified along with all my other prices in the first post, is applicable for NZ. The shipping is $11.

Hi Rob,
First of all, sorry for the storm damage... hope it's not too bad actually...
One question... I delayed an order for an URC-9964 and now I see they are sold out... are they gone forever or are youplanning to restock a few?
Again my wishes of good luck
Ciao Rob!

I haven't decided whether to get any more or not, but I'm leaning towards not getting them.

Oh! I see...
Well, should you decide to get some more (Or even a single one for me

), please let me know and I'll place an order straight away...
Thanks for the reply anyway...
My regards
Joe

Do you have modified remote that I can use with JP1 cable, so I can use with My FTA receiver Spacestar dvb500. I have a JP1 cable. Tia.

Any JP1 remote can control your box. See the first post in this thread for Rob's current remote availability.

Hi Robert,
I did get a new shipment of URC-6690 remotes in, but as you can see, I've had to shut up shop for a while so I can try to get my basement habitable again. So, give it a week or so and I'll be able to fill your request.

Hi Rob , Sorry also to hear about the storm damage , we had some major floods here a few years back , but it all turned out ok
Great to hear about the remotes if you can confirm the freight for 3 or 4 that would be great - even a few weeks is fine no real hurry - certainly get your things sorted first
Cheers Robert

Just a thought I will add some kind of sensor to wake up the remote ie movement to you don't have to press a button for it to be useable
Just to confirm do these remotes have a black plastic back or a grey plastic back
Do you also have the JP* cable to usb vable to suit these ones
Cheers Agian Robert

I don't have any JP1.x cables left, and my previous supplier is one of the JP1 vendors who's also temporarily closed, so I'm working on getting some cables made elsewhere. I do still have some of the serial-to-USB converter cables though.
Looking for a Remote

Robman,
I have a typical home theater setup, with a Hitachi 57S700 HDTV, Dish Network ViP622 HD receiver/PVR, Sony DVD player DVP-NS775V, Denon AVR1804 Amp, and a Toshiba-hd-A2 HD DVD Player (on the way ).
Looking for a good universal remote and stumbled upon JP-1 site today. debating between UOA 9910 and the Kameleon 9960. I am not sure 9910 can handle the DVR functions and 9960 the UOA website says it will. Any thoughts on this is appreciated. If you have one for sale I will buy either of them from you.
Thanks
Suparag

The 9910 can handle anything you throw at it, as can it's identical cheaper brother, the 8910 (identical except for the RF extender).
I can safely say that although some really like the Kameleons, most of the regulars here do not prefer them because you have you LOOK at the remote to figure out what buttons you're pressing, whilst the 8910/9910 are hard-button remotes.
