Maximum activities?

I have 13 activities set up in RM. When I upload this data to the remote, only the first twelve show. Is this expected?

If I load this configuration into the ez-rc site, it says "You currently have 13 Activities set up. You can select Add, Modify or Delete Activities below.", but the "add" button is greyed out! Trying to do much of anything "crashes" the site and kicks me out to the login page.

So I guess it is expected? If so, RM should probably prevent me from adding the 13th activity. (And I need to figure out another way to organize all my things into this remote!)

Further: I can only see how to set built-in/fixed icons for activities in RM. Can I possibly pick images for activities, like I can for soft buttons/favorites?

Soft button macro name

If I create a macro and assign it to a soft button, it works as expected. The name of the macro displays on the soft button. If I rename the macro, the soft button keeps the original name. If I delete the macro and re-create it with a new name, then the soft button gets this new name.

Problem connecting to Xsight since W10

My remotes have been stable and so I do not know (for sure) that it was the Windows-10 upgrade that caused it, but I cannot seem to connect anymore.

I get the chime (up tone) when plugging in, and also (down tone) when unplugging but when I try to upload from RM I get a message "WriteRemote returned 0". When pressing OK the process ends, but I do not think it uploaded anything.

I tried downloading from the remote, to compare any changes but it does not appear to download, though there is no error message. A Raw download ended without messages, but did not show any data.

I have also tried the latest RM2.03 Build 8 but (not unexpectedly) it did not change anything.

I realise that this is not really an RM issue, but thought there was a chance that another user might have seen this and solved it.

Many thanks

I think you need to read post number 1 a bit more closely :)

Problem connecting to Xsight since W10 - Solved.

Mea Culpa

My only defense is that I had looked extensively for a solution to the generic issue of USB devices not connecting properly and not found it when I posted. I did find the section in Post 1 of this then and have solved my problem using the info provided.

Thanks for responding politely 8-)

I assume the fix was to Disable Enhanced Power Management as described here:

Hi Eveyone!

I just purchased a Nevo C2 remote, it looks beautiful and my wife loves its form. However, there is only one thing that we are missing on this remote:

We have two TV entries (cable and air), and we frequently change from one to the other. In the other JP1 remotes (with extender) we have two macros to change the TV input and assign the button groups to the corresponding device, and we have two buttons with these macros assigned, so every time we want to change just click on the corresponding button.

In the Nevo C2 we have Activities that do the same, but we need to select the Activities button, that is small and difficult to find in a rush, to reach the Activities. Is there any way to simulate the behavior on the old remote macros in the Nevo? For example, create a macro that changes the button group assignment? or assign an Activity to a hard or soft button?

Thanks for your help!

have u tried creating a regular macro and assigning it to a regular button (like one of the 4 color buttons perhaps) ?

Unfortunately I think the answer is no right now - or at least we haven't figured it out yet. You do get used to using the activity button after a while, but it is kinda annoying when you have to explain to the babysitter etc.

Robman, thanks for your answer. I have tried creating a macro, but I didn't find a way to change the button group assignment during the macro, for example having all the buttons assigned to TV, run the "cable" macro and change the button assignment to cable device. Is this possible? Thanks!

Ah, you mean that there are no device buttons. I haven't got as far as trying macros myself yet so I haven't hit that problem.

In remotes with a screen it seems to be quite usual for individual device and activity buttons to be located on a button-selectable screen, and for macros to be unable to change the current device or activity.

I think exceptions are some older Harmony models, and the Harmony 650, which have hard buttons for each of four different activities, but they can't change devices or activities in macros either. Even remotes without a screen do not always offer such functions in macros, but perhaps it all seems worse because the buttons of NevoC2/XsightColor for Devices and Activities are thin, close together, and nearly flush with the surface.

In the New Macro page, what are the functions 'Button: Devices', and 'Button: Activities', for?
I thought a different place for the Activities Button might be more accessible, e.g. tried it on the hard button 'ENTER' - but pressing ENTER (for sending 'Button: Activities') seemed to do nothing...

They make the macro perform the action of pressing the button concerned, e.g. the Devices or Activities button. Unfortunately it appears that the remote does not respond to these buttons sent from within a macro.

Thank you, pity about that :)
I have now seen a post which said that only 'Button: Home' can work if it is allocated by using a macro, and have confirmed that even then a following 'Button: Activities' is ignored.
