I went into my local shack to view remote controls capable of learning. I saw the 15-2116 and right next to it was a 15-2117, obviously for 3.00 more, I got the 15-2117 with the rf feature. While purchasing, I asked salesman if this supports macro features, which wasn't indicated on the package, and he said, "I don't think so, do you need batteries with that?" I told him "no, I use alkaline rechargeables, saves me lots of money"

I read the manual and told him it does support macros. (real simple concept)

I like browsing, but they make it difficult when they try to over cell (sell). They have signs in the store, If I was interested in the product, I would ask.

If your guy only asked you about batteries, you got one of the good ones (even though he didn't know about macros). Normally right after the batteries pitch they go into the cell phone pitch and then the satellite box pitch, etc, etc. And even if you say to the droid "how much would it cost for you to shut up" they still keep on going!

One thing they used to do, and might still have, if you can find the back door, is near service manuals (usually blow apart diagrams and parts lists).
