remote code for Techomate TM5400CI+USB

technomate and strong bin codes

hi alan
1 slingbox 350

2 no error message after i typed in the code

3 gave minutes rather than seconds

4 not using solo

5 on completing set up no buttons worked on the technomate but the channel change on the strong worked and the menu the select centre button

6 i checked the blaster was working with my digital camera

7checked reciever and put the blaster in front

8 checked the remote worked properly and it does

9cant find any rf setting

10 no multiple remote device


i reset the sling box before i set it up for both recievers.

Have you looked at the original remote with the digital camera/phone to see if it is emitting infrared?

I just read the booklet for the Technomate 5400Ci and it looks like there is a remote control setting.

In the techno mate booklet it says
Go to password and press 0000 a
then go to the bottom of page and
change the remote type to type 1
or type 2.
I'm not sure if that is the difference between IR and RF or if it is the difference between Unit 1 / Unit 2 like we see on DVD equipment, but that is something you probably should check out.

hi looked for the menu item and it wasn't there phoned technomate and they said i would have to do a software download and if i change the setting from say type one to type two that i would need a new remote control to use the box not sure if it is better to buy another box that is compatible rather than spend money on a remote for an old box as we can not guarantee this works

Sorry we couldn't fix it. The list of supported devices is at http://support.slingbox.com/sitecore/co ... lang=en-US and there are a few hundred proven Custom Remotes on here of course.
