hi,
I'm living in Amsterdam and just bought a Slingbox and got a Motorola vip 1853 settop box from Telfort. Did you found a solution for this settop box? Can you please explain if indeed the M 1853 will now work with the Slingbox and if so, how should I configure the Slingbox. Where do I get the right bin file (??) and how to install this on the Slingbox. I don't know very much about this technology. Thanks for your help, my kids abroad are looking forward to watch Dutch television.

I put the .bin file in place. But I'm not able to switch channels etc. The settop box does respond on commands - you see at the video that the system is responding to something, but no changing of channels. What is wrong? I try to switch channels on my iPad app, on my Mac, not working. By the way, the normal remote control does change the channels.
it is working!

Now it is working!
Guys, really thank you very much. You are blessed. May you live a long and healthy live, doing even better stuff then watching TV..

spicement, you already asked this in the correct place. This is going to require the help of one of our LIRC experts, so you'll probably have to wait a few hours for your response. Please wait for a response. If you don't receive an answer in 24 hours, bump your other thread.

Here's the entry for protocols.ini.

Hi (noob alert)
This protocol will not load when I have Xsight Lite selected in RMIR, says not supported.
I played around with entries in protocols.ini and it seems there must be an entry for 'Code.MAXQ610=....' to support that remote?
Can this somehow be made?

Just add that code segment to your protocols.ini

No, the Xsight Lite does not use a Samsung Processor, and anyway, the entry is already in the recent version protocols.ini. We have to do some development to get this to work. I'm looking at it now.
However, this is the wrong thread for this question, and I hope it will get moved.

Thanks, so it boils down to 'porting' existing protocols to a (relatively) new family of remotes, is that a correct understanding?

Try replacing the following two entries in protocols.ini (or just add the code.MAXQ610 lines to your existing protocols.ini.
Code: Select all

Thanks, it loads but does not seem to work.
However, I am not sure whether that is because there is something wrong or that I am trying to use inappropriate settings in the first place.
My actual device is this ;
http://www.altibox.no/c/document_librar ... upId=10327
and therefore I assumed it would be reasonable to try this upgrade.
There IS an upgrade from OFA site that I loaded but it does not work well (keys sometimes comes through, sometimes not) so I have been looking for replacement.
I can upload learned keys and/or the upgrade from OFA if that is helpfull?

It will help if you can load the upgrade from UEI, also learn the OEM remote signals, and then read all of that into RMIR. Save the RMIR file and place it in the Diagnostics Area. Post a link to the RMIR file here.
