Sony dvd/vcr RDR VX500 (w/Slingbox)

It works great the only thing you should be aware of is that the above posts that speak of Y0864_PL.bin only work in mode 1 which is not the default setting for this unit so the guy who did not have a remote to change the mode was out of luck.

Your files on the other hand work in mode 3 which is the default mode so someone without a remote can use the sling with your file.

Can some of the controls that you do not have buttons for simply go in the menu pull down? Any way thank you again for making this so much more useful. The other module was DVD only and had no TV listings either.

I'm afraid the menu pull-down is already full. we only have 15 Custom buttons in that menu and there were about 22 functions defined for buttons not included on the generic remote.

Thanks for the confirmation everythign works, though. I'll upload it to the forums in case anyone else needs it.
