DOH! I named them backwards. I replaced the file with the KM file same link.

I also found the information that was quoted

This indicates that there are 4 possible unit codes, so apparently we can get 4 robots working together to get that beverage while we are watching TV.

This is key2 for unit 1 from IR Scope and from the RoboNovaRemCon.Txt.

IR Scope rises when there is infrared activity, and goes lower during the quite time. Other scopes dip when there is infrared activity, and goes up during the quite time. I think the text file was showing the dipping style scope picture.

Great find on that link Vicky, how on earth did you find it?

The first 2 bits of the OBC are the unit code (with values 0,1,2,3).

This also confirms that the last bit of the OBC is a checksum, which is an XOR of all the other bits in the OBC.

Vicky, take a look at the binary for these signals. Here's the binary for the numeric buttons:

0000000 0 - 1
0000001 1 - 2
0000010 1 - 3
0000011 0 - 4
0000100 1 - 5
0000101 0 - 6
0000110 0 - 7
0000111 1 - 8
0001000 1 - 9
0001001 0 - 0

I've separated the last binary bit from the rest so now you should see that the rest of the binary increases in a normal MSB fashion.

You should also notice that when there is an even number of 1s in the binary, the checkbit is 0 and when there's an odd number of 1s, the checkbit is 1.

Jeff, where did you find the Arduino capture of the Robonova signal? The trouble that we're having is that you only posted one sample, and the button in that sample used all zeroes as the command code, which made it the least useful sample that you could have posted.

Bottom line, we would like to see more samples from the Robonova remote.

The capture that you posted seems to match the one sample that you posted:

Perhaps the robot is

Unit 2, Unit 3 or Unit 4

Perhaps we have the frequency wrong

But the timings are as close as I can get them.

That's possible. I have created an IR file for the URC-8910 that contains upgrades for all 4 unit codes.

Jeff, please load this file into your URC-8910 and then test the TV, VCR, DVD and AUX device buttons on your robot.

JP1 remote is powerful .
Logitech Harmony cannot do that.

That confirms that you are using unit code 0. It also confirms that Vicky got the timings right the first time (I didn't change them). So, now we need to try and figure out why it didn't work when you added the upgrade in order for you to be able to add the upgrade to your working IR setup.

Could you try re-adding the upgrade to your IR file, then if it doesn't work, post a copy of your IR file so we can look to see what you're doing wrong.
