Actually I am doing my usual trick of installing it from the Harmony database. I must admit that the site does warn you it is a best-guess, and as the codes are actually put in by users it could be any of those suggested.

As it is a 500, have you tried the External IR Blaster ?

I just got sorted - the remote is working fine now.

Performed the following steps to finally get it to working ...

1) Factory Reset Slingbox 500
2) Reconfigured the Interface as Custom (Cable & loaded the Custom Code provided by Alan) here's the link https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=11609
3) At this point it didn't work, hence I decided to give the unit a Cold restart (pulled the plug and re-inserted)
4) Re-loaded the Custom Remote C2010_PL.bin again and it started working

For the benefit of others from also from Dubai particularly who are Du subscribers can get the Motorola VIP1216E working Alan's Custom Code located here (https://www.hifi-remote.com/forums/dload ... e_id=11609)

Good, glad it's sorted. A Factory Reset is a bit drastic but it does clear away all the cobwebs
