i uploaded the txt file with the learned signal, it's called skoopman.txt

The proper hex cmd for the key move should be "D7 82".

still doesn't work, i can't believie this, everything was going so smoothly until this point.

How come I can use EFC 172 from my digital cable remote in a key move, but i have to use hex for my receiver?

Like I said earlier, your device selection macros don't look right to me. The RCVR device is never active as far as I can tell.

Because RCVR/1308 is a combo protocol (it uses the Panasonic Combo protocol) AND uses 2-byte commands. An EFC can only represent a single byte.

Because your receiver is using a device code (RCVR/1308) that uses a two-byte protocol whereas your digital cable box uses a one-byte protocol. Basically it's a limitation of the device code.

What if i try using keymaster to add the learned code, would that work?

Keymaster worked, accept that some of the buttons for the reciever use sub-device 20 and others use sub-device 0. Keymaster allows you to select only one sub-device number.
