So, you've basically reduced the TV to a dumb TV and moved all the smartness to the Roku? Sounds like a good move. I have Roku built-in to my TV, so I can't complain.

I love how while it's mostly guys striving to get a WAF with their remotes, but you're striving for a good HAF.

Vicky did you notice the numeral keys 0-9 for use on Stand-Alone Roku? Of course, it only works on Roku Ch live tv channels or grid. When first found you could just enter active three-digit channel, wait a bit and it would change to it. Now you have to press the SELECT key for it to change to the channel.

Yes, I gave the Samsung a lobotomy. Wish I could figure out how to turn off the "enhanced sound" that they use on all my Standard Def sources. For some reason they think turning up the background noise is a desirable feature. When tiny women walk across the room it sounds like robocop stomping through, when doors open and close in the background it is intrusive, heck in field of dreams I can hardly here Jame Earl Jones, over the sound of the crickets. So all the subchannels on OTA, and any DVD I play are unenjoyable to watch because the background noise is so intense.

How did you know I never looked for new features, :D . I have been using the same upgrade for 14 years and never thought to look to see what new functions there were.

Now the big question, how do you figure out what the Roku Live Channel's the numbers go to which channels?

Tip: When creating an upgrade, always include ALL functions from the oem remote, even if you never plan on assigning them to a button. Complete function lists makes an upgrade more helpful to others.

I found the settings to turn on NUMBERS on the live TV app. I learn something every time I come here.
