Thanks. Key move tab did appear. 994 Key move did not show up. I was able to program a device with
*$0000:$0002..$0BFF/2 checksum.
After reset and device upgrade success. I tried to program a keymove with RMIR, and was unsuccessful.
I have uploaded an raw file with keymove programmed on remote (TV Power -> STB Power) and an rmir file with an non-working keymove (same goal)

1. Does the remote let you program a 994 keymove?
2. If so, does the keymove work?
3. Is the 3569_vizio_tv-stb_power_keymove.ir file a download of the remote with a working keymove programmed?
If you answer is YES to all of those, I am puzzled because there's no trace of the keymove in the .ir file.

Ah, I seem to have tricked myself. Apparently using power button wasn't best option to test with. For some reason I was able to power on/off TV in STB device, thinking I had done it via keymove. I seem unable to program any keymoves with 994 or RMIR.

Ah ok, so you can remove the $07 from the RDF then. Please give this thing a work out, like try to break it. Do you have a user manual for it? If so, try to do any programming that they list and see if it's reflected in the RMIR image when you download. Check things in RMIR like VPT (volume punch through) or channel lock and see if they have any effect on the remote.
And of course, try to create some upgrades, assign something to every button, just to check they work. If you run out of functions to assign, assign the number functions to the remaining buttons just to see if that button sends the number that you programmed.
And I just want to say once again, your first post in this thread was the most informative first post asking for an RDF ever.

No problem. The least I can do is provide what's requested!
I'll try to put this through its paces. The only manual programming listed in booklet (and others found online) is a 978 code for setting Key Punch Through. Haven't been able to make that work via remote, though CPT and VPT via RMIR seem to be fine.
I'll keep testing.

Hey Cory, could you do another test for me please? I know you found that you can upload to the remote using *$0000:$0002..$0BFF/2 as the checksum formula, but could you try changing it to *$0000:$0002..$0BFF (ie, remove the /2 ) and see if it still works?
The reason I ask is, Graham showed me how to calculate the checksum and it appears that the /2 is not needed, so I am surprised that it worked for you.
If you find that it works either way, that would be an interesting development.

I am assuming I made a mistake using the /2 version of the checksum formula and have updated the RDF to use the default version (with no /2 at the end).

Thanks Rob. I was able to do some programming with the /2 checksum, but as noted unable to program a keymove.
With the correct checksum it does at least let me program the keymove via RMIR, but so far it doesn't appear to work unfortunately.
Still testing.

I think you've already shown that this remote doesn't support keymoves, but it does support macros, which is good.
Have you been able to upload into the remote with the /2 removed from the checksum formula?

Sorry that could of been clearer.
Checksum With /2 - Able to upload some, but not with a keymove configured.
Checksum without /2 - Able to upload, even with a keymove. Keymove doesn't do anything, but the upload works.
At this point I would say you are correct in removing the /2.

Perfect, thanks.
