I've been lucky in keeping my RS 15-2116 setup going all these years, but my last one is failing me by draining batteries at an inordinate rate, so I'm in need for a replacement. Does anyone have any suggestions. I like the look and hand-feel of my 15-2116, so something with the same sense of substance would be preferable, but really something that would offer me the following functionality:
- 7 device control
- Device button macros (I dislike Harmony's "activities" model)
- Fast macros
Thanks in advance.

Do you really need 7 devices or can you multiplex a couple? If you can live with some multiplexing, I would suggest the Atlas OCAP (tons of buttons, 5 devices) or Insignia remote (see post in general forum - 4 devices, but has 8 internal - no extender yet but I am sure than will change).

I second the recommendation for the Insignia ... very nice for my needs and there is an extender that works well. |
